Project Transformation is a summer literacy camp for underserved children in urban areas of Oklahoma. The camp provides children one-on-one time with mentors and leadership in reading, computers, arts and crafts, music and theater, field trips and enrichment activities. The program is sponsored by the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference, AmeriCorps, and community individuals and organizations.
Here at Southern Hills UMC, we have had a Project Transformation Summer Camp since 2007. If you would like to learn more about Project Transformation at Southern Hills, please call the church office at 918-743-2013.

Southern Hills UMC volunteers pick up and deliver meals five days a week and prepare meals several times a year to help those who are homebound.
Members spend one hour a week during school hours with a student in one-on-one mentoring. We also assist the school with our Project Transformation summer camp as well as with school supplies and clothing needs. There are always ways to help out our neighborhood school!
We deliver clothes, food, and other items to this important outlet of social services in our neighborhood. Each week we gather food in a special offering and deliver it to the Neighborhood House each month. Members have also helped out with children's programs and office needs.
FISH is a program to help people out of crisis situations (especially those pertaining to rent or utility bills) and toward stability. While we cannot offer large amounts, we are often able to partner with other programs or provide other resources to help those in need.
